


Marge has been involved in Education Administration for the past 23 years, mainly in Universities and more recently at a children’s assessment centre in Durban, South Africa, where she dealt with children with various special needs.

Antoinette comes to us from South Africa. She moved to the UK in 1999 to persue a teaching career after studying in Cape Town for a Diploma and Higher Diploma in Pre Primary and Primary Education. In 2000 she returned to South Africa to study an Honours Degree in Specialised Education and worked in Johannesburg as a Nursery class teacher. Antoinette returned again to the UK in 2003 when she was offered a job at a Special School in Lewisham, where she was a Nursery and Reception teacher. Antoinette took a break from class teaching after starting her own family, but worked as a Remedial teacher in a private capacity and managed a website for a South African sensory baby products brand ‘Baby Sense’. Antoinette has enjoyed gaining experience in working in both mainstream and special needs schools with a range of children with varying needs. Antoinette has a special interest in sensory integration, movement and music.

Courtney graduated with a BSpPath (Bachelor of Speech Pathology) from the University of Queensland, Australia in 2006. Since graduating, Courtney has worked with children as a speech and language therapist in both community and educational settings. Prior to moving to the UK, Courtney spent three years working with children aged 0-6 years of age with significant development disabilities. Since arriving in the UK, Courtney has worked as a speech and language therapist for an independent primary school for children with ASD in Surrey. Courtney is a Hanen certified speech therapist and PROMPT trained.

Ciara graduated with a BSc. (Hons) in Occupational Therapy from Brunel University, London in 2009. Since graduating, Ciara has worked as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist on an early intervention team for children 0-6 years of age with a range of physical, intellectual, sensory and development disabilities. While working on the early intervention team Ciara worked closely with educational staff and in partnership with parent’s supporting children to reach their maximum potential in the home and school environment. Since qualifying Ciara has trained in Sensory Integration Therapy and the Developmental, Individual Difference, Relationship-based (DIR®/Floortime™) Model. Ciara is a registered member of the Sensory integration Network UK/Ireland and the British Society of Occupational Therapy.

Dan graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) from Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Western Australia in 2007. Since graduating Dan has worked as a Paediatric Physiotherapist in a variety of settings both in Perth and London. When in Perth Dan worked for 18 months at The Centre for Cerebral Palsy with children aged between three and eighteen years, working individually with children and running group activities; including biannual Adventure Camps. Since moving to London in early 2010, Dan has worked throughout the United Kingdom with children in a community setting, at schools and in Health Care centres as a Physiotherapist for the NHS. Dan is excited to be part of the Frederick Hugh House therapy team and is enthusiastic about the future of the school.

Cara has worked with children with special needs for the past nine years in both school and recreational settings. Since she graduated in 2007 with a BSc in Psychology, she has been working full time in primary schools in London with children who have mild to severe learning and physical disabilities.

Claire began her career working in elderly care and was awarded the 'Carer of the Year' award in Portsmouth. During her NVQ3 training she became interested in Special Education Needs (SEN). For the past four years Claire has worked with children with special needs whose ages range from four to twelve years in both school and recreational settings. Claire is trained in PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and ABA (Applied Behanviour Analysis) as well as other SEN interventions.
